We need your skills

The Institute for
Democracy and Mediation (IDM) is pleased to announce the opportunity for an
Internship Programme up to three months. Applications are accepted from September
to December 2011.
IDM is an independent,
non-governmental organization working to strengthen the civil society, to
analyze and improve Albania’s integration process and to assist reforming and
consolidation of good governance and inclusive policy making processes through
expertise, innovative policy research, analysis and assessment-bases policy
option.
The Internship Programme
is intended to graduate and post-graduate scholars in Social Science,
Humanities, and Computer Science. The internship aims at providing the
successful scholar with the opportunity:
* To utilize the resources and facilities available at IDM for their research/interests.
* To work jointly with the IDM staff in areas of mutual interests.
* To produce papers and publish in its monthly Policy Issue.
Why IDM?
The added value of an internship
at IDM is the possibility to be involved in research and political activities
and in the creation of new analytical and methodological tools.                                       

The internship is focused on integrating the
intern in the day to day activities of the institute such as: organizing
meetings and conferences, preparing reports and analysis, updating the website,
blog and databases, communicating with the press, liaising with officials from
the government and other public institutions. The internship is offered in the following
areas:
* Center for European and Security Affairs (CESA)
* Local Governance and Integrated Development
* Research and Innovation Initiatives
