It is with great pleasure that we invite you to an international conference
ECOLOGY AND ECOFEMINISM: NEW POLITICAL RESPONSIBILITY
To be held on 3-5 November 2011 at the Institute for Philosophy and Social
Theory in Belgrade.

The starting premise of the conference is that Eco-feminism addresses some
of the most fundamental problems our civilization is facing today. This is
still a strong point despite the debates which question relevance of the
ecofeminist movement since some of its fundamental issues have been
appropriated by the mainstream ecology, and since it has not been embraced
by the third wave feminism.
The goal of the conference – first of its kind in the region – is to gather
scholars from different disciplines (sociology, philosophy, ecology,
anthropology, political sciences etc.) to join in exploring various aspects
of the relationship between society, ecology, and feminist theory.
The final program of the conference will be completed and sent to all
participants upon the deadline for submitting the applications. Presented
papers will be considered for publishing in a special volume.
The official language of the conference is English.
Proposals shall consist of an abstract of 200-250 words and a short CV.
