Scholarship Description: The Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Orkestra) is a research institute located in the Basque Country (Spain), founded in 2006 and affiliated with the University of Deusto. Its mission is to engage in the so-called 3’is of the Institute: Investigation (research) of excellence, specialized Instruction, and Interaction with the relevant agents of competitiveness—local, regional and national governments, the European Union, firms, and the various intermediary organizations (technology centers, business organizations, cluster associations, etc.)—as a means of strengthening the competitiveness of the Basque economy and society in a globalized environment fully aware of the need to promote sustainable development.
